Chloe Sherman (b. 1969, New York) is a San Francisco–based artist whose environmental portraiture explores queer identity and resilience. Her work has been exhibited at Von Lintel Gallery (Los Angeles), Photobastei (Zurich), F³ Freiraum für Fotografie (Berlin), Schlomer Haus Gallery (San Francisco), Kunsthalle Nürnberg (Nuremberg), and Leica San Francisco. In 2023, Hatje Cantz Verlag published a monograph of her work titled Renegades: San Francisco – the 1990s. Sherman’s photographs are part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, the Addison Gallery of American Art, and SF MOMA.
