Chloe Sherman is a New York native and San Francisco–based artist whose environmental portraiture explores queer identity and resilience. Her work has been exhibited at Harkawik Gallery (New York), Von Lintel Gallery (Los Angeles), Photobastei (Zurich), F³ Freiraum für Fotografie (Berlin), Schlomer Haus Gallery (San Francisco), Kunsthalle Nürnberg (Nuremberg), and Leica San Francisco. In 2023, Hatje Cantz Verlag published a monograph of her work titled Renegades: San Francisco – the 1990s. Sherman’s photographs are part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, the Addison Gallery of American Art, and SF MOMA.
